Their other score was in the third quarter when Musteen faked a pass to break through the open Dixie line 70 yards to the goal line. The kick was good after each touchdown. The Flyers chance to score on an intercepted pass similar to that in the Weber game came early in the game, but the Aggies defense was ready and little gain was made on the play. Time and again he kicked out of danger, compelling the B. A. C. to start all over again in their march toward to-ward the Dixie goal. The entire team, however, played play-ed great ball; and, despite the loss, the boys and their coach, Stan Watts, deserve a great deal of credit for their fight all season against odds and for their heads-up heads-up football at all times. C. and two from Weber. Three Dixie men earned berths on the second mythical team: Gilbert Tobler at end, Vance Es-plin Es-plin at guard, and Gordon Lytle at center. From Dixie receiving honorable mention were. John Belingheri, tackle; Rumell Reber, guard; Joe Mezzano, LeGrande Frei and Junior Jun-ior Neilson, backs. |
