Show Funeral Services Held Here Thursday For Thomas Searls Terry Bsihop James Andrus of the West ward conducted the funeral services serv-ices held in the stake Tabernacle Thursday, Nov. 28, at 1:30 p.m., for Thomas Searls Terry, 79, who died at the family home Monday evening of pulmonary thrombosis. Mrs. Mae A. Pace presided at the organ. Muslo Numbers Musical numbers for the services included a vocal solo, "My Father Knows", by Leland Lamoreaux; duets, "Beyond the Stars", and "I Shall Not Pass Again This Way", by Mamie Paxman and Viola Gentry, Gen-try, and a solo, "O, My Father", by Heber Holt of Enterprise. First speaker was W. W. McArthur, Mc-Arthur, close neighbor and for many years bishop of the West ward in which the Terrys reside. He told many incidents of the deceased; de-ceased; of his complete belief in the Latter-day gospel and his years devoted to missionary work. Snow devoted his remarks to the scriptural evidences evi-dences of the eternity of life and praised Mr. Terry for his faithfulness faith-fulness to the church, to family and to his fellowmen, reciting incidents in-cidents in their association as friends of long standing. Floral Tributes There were many floral tributes and many relatives and friends from Enterprise, and elsewhere attended at-tended the services. Prayers were by Arthur K. Hafen of St. George and Joseph A. Terry of Enterprise, with Luther Lu-ther S. Terry of Enterprise dedicating dedi-cating the grave in the St. George city cemetery. |
