Ilardy Reporter Among those home for the 4th of July from northern Nevada, were Cyrus Gifford, Orrin Hep-worth, Hep-worth, Mansel Scow, Wickley Gub-ler Gub-ler and Kenneth Gubler. Mr. and Mrs. James Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Gifford, and Mr. and Mrs. Harris Merrill were week end visitors here. Mrs. Elmer Hardy and daughters, daugh-ters, Caroline and aJne of Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Nov., are here visiting relatives. rel-atives. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brooks attended at-tended the funeral of a granddaughter grand-daughter at Salt Lake City last Saturday. The six-weeks'-old child wasthe daughter of Thelma, oldest old-est daughter of the Brooks'. Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Pollick of Hawthorne, Nev., were visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brooks. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Judd of northern Utah were visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Judd. The parents accompanied ac-companied their son and his wife on an extensive tour, which the Clair Judds were taking during! their holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Mansel Scow and family and Mr. and Mrs. Delworth Wilson and family spent the 4th on Pine Valley mountain. Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Gifford and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Gifford and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Wil-lard Pectol spent part of the 4th at Navajo lake. A large crowd of our townspeople towns-people attended the dance held at Virgin on the night of the 3rd. All had a very enjoyable time. Birthday parties were held here during the week for Mrs. Cleone Iverson and Mrs. LaVel Hinton. A very appropriate 4th of July celebration was held here, with Miss Nada Hardy as Goddess of Liberty. Races for the youngsters were held in the afternoon, and a Primary stake dance for Juniors in the evening at Hurricane. |
