Show Funeral Services Held In Santa Clara Monday For George Wittwer, 57 SANTA CLARA, Utah. Bishop Henry Graff conducted funeral services in the Santa Clara ward chapel Monday, June 29, at 5:30 p. m., for George Wittwer, 57, who died in a Provo hospital, Saturday, Satur-day, June 27, after an illness of several years. Musical numbers included a vocal vo-cal duet by Mrs. Vivian J. Frei and Mrs. Landon Frei; violin solo, Mrs. Murray Webb, St. George; piano solo, Mrs. Bud Seegmiller, St. .George; and a vocal duet, Bishop Hemy Graff and Mrs. Emil Gubler. Mrs. Bud Seegmiller was accompanist. Speakers were William Tobler of Washington; Theodore Graff, Jacob Frei and Bishop Henry Graff. All bore testimony to the faithful efforts made by the deceased de-ceased under affliction to do his life work well, telling of his heavy responsibilities as a young man in doing the work of farming under ill health; of his kindness to his fellowmen, and his sincerity, and of his long and severe suffering. Prayers were by Adolph Hafen and Leo F. Reber, the grave in the Santa Clara cemetery being dedicated by Harmon Gubler Jr., of Ivins. George Wittwer was born in Santa Clara, November 19, 1884, a son of Samuel and Mary Gubler Wittwer. He had his schooling in Santa Clara and learned by experience ex-perience and hard work the problems prob-lems of agriculture in this area. As a young man he suffered a sunstroke, and later had typhoid fever, which left him permanently afflicted. Nov. 3, 1909, he was married in the St. George Temple to Hulda Stucki of Santa Clara. They were the parents of three children, who survive. They are Miss Georgia Wittwer of Provo; Ivan Wittwer, Las Vegas; and Ardyce Wittwer of Paragonah.
