Show Towns of County Well Represented At Cedar C. of C. Meeting As a follow-up of the good will dinner staged by the St. George Chamber of Commerce, Sept. 4, the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce Com-merce entertained at an informal dinner dance at the Cedar high school gym last Friday evening. Hurricane, Enterprise, St. George and Parowan clubs were represented. repres-ented. There were 15 from St. George, four from Hurricane and 14 from Enterprise. Dancing was enjoyed from 9 to 11 p. m. when a buffet dinner was served. Vice-president Mars-den Mars-den of the Cedar chamber was in charge and Gus Larson was master mas-ter of ceremonies. Responses were made by Dr. Vern Farnsworth of the Cedar City chamber; John T. Woodbury of St. George; Leland Huntsman of Enterprise; Claud Hirschi of Hurricane and Robert Fenton of Parowan. Music for the dancing was furnished fur-nished by the high school orchestra. orches-tra. Special music for the evening included numbers by Roy Halvor-son's Halvor-son's string ensemble and chorus by a group of young ladies directed di-rected by Mrs. Gus Larson. This event marks the second step in the cooperative activities of the Southern Utah chambers of commerce, with the hope that more will be accomplished through pulling together in the interest of the entire southern area, rather than working solely for sectional programs and projects. |
