Show Centra! First In County Red Cross Drive Public Reported Giving Liberally To Those Making Drive Honors for going "over the top" in the Red Cross drive now being conducted in the county, went to Central. Lawrence Wadsworth, finance chairman, reported that Central turned in slightly over its quota Tuesday morning. Fine success is reported by solicitors in St. George, but many have not turned in their money !to date. The drive will continue until January Jan-uary 6th. Since it. is impossible to find all people at home, and it is also impossible im-possible for return calls to be made in every case, those who are not contacted are asked to turn their contribution in to Mrs. Reed Blake, county chairman; Lawrence Wadsworth or the News Office. Solicitation of the city is well organized with the various clubs, civic and church organizations drawing upon their memberships to make a house to house canvass. Similar organizations have been set up throughout the county and it is anticipated that every home will be visited and the occupants given an opportunity to contribute their bit, no matter how small. |
