Show ROCKVILLE , Mrs. Philetus Jones 1 Mrs. Marcia Terry Reporters , Oral Hirschi, the eleven-year-old ' son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hirschi, Hir-schi, fell off a fence and broke his arms on Dec. 17. , Mrs. Charles Day and Mrs. Glen Carter and boy, Sharon, of Los 1 Angeles are visiting at the home of their father, James Jennings. They will be. joined by their hus- j bands for Christmas. Melville Hirschi, Miss Dorothy Terry and Keith Terry returned home Saturday for the holidays. Miss Terry has been attending ' Weber college, Mr. Hirschi, the i U. of U. and Mr. Terry has been working in Salt Lake City. Mrs. George Worthen and Mrs. Vernon Worthen of St. George were visiting at the home of Mrs. Afton Ballard on Tuesday. Miss Aileen Worthen returned home wth them for the holidays. Students from the Hurricane high school seminary put on a play here Sunday night under the 1 direction of their instructor, Ivan 1 Barratt. It was entitled, "The ' Trust of Friendship". This story ' is based on a legend that Judas 1 Iscariot returns for a day each ' year and tries to do good deeds J by helping an erring soul to re- ' pent, to atone for his betrayal of the Savior. Those taking part were Martha Jane Bringhurst, Derald Slack, Eldon Walker, Ard-ene Ard-ene Hinton and Roma Hirschi. Robert P. Woodbury and Frank Johnson were our stake missionaries mission-aries in Sacrament meeting Sunday Sun-day afternoon. Miss Lena Cox returned Friday from the B. A. C. where she has been attending school. . George Hirschi is home after an absence of several weeks out on the round-up out south. Eldon Russell of Grafton will visit friends in Ogden on Christmas. Christ-mas. The Rockville school under the direction of their teachers, Grant Langston and Miss Aileen Worthen, Wor-then, put on an operetta, "The Quest For Santa Claus", on Monday Mon-day afternoon. Miss Worthen and the parents made costumes for the children. Every child in the school took part. |
