Show Plan For Selecting Rodeo Queen Announced By Lions Committee In Charge BY REXOX SXOW Chairman Rodeo Queen Committee To AH The Teople of Washington County: The St. George Lions club is soliciting your support and cooperation co-operation in the selection of the, Dixie Roundup Queen and her, attendants. Especially do we urge m- j dividual, business people and civic .roups to cooperate in this selec-j Hon by Placing the name of some . person in their community for registration. The necessary requirements for, registering your prospective Queen are as follows: Registration fee S1.00. : Registration with proper fee and recent photograph of candidate must be in the hands of Mr. Cannon Can-non by noon. July 31, 1940. Queen will be required to ride horseback in the parades and be present at all of the activities sponsored by the Roundup committee. com-mittee. Candidate must have available horse, saddle and western riding apparel. Candidate must posses, above average, horsemanship ability. All candidates must be IS year's of age or over (specify age). Methods of selection of the Queen and her attendants will be announced in next week's issue of the Washington County News, after arrangements have been made with the merchants and business people of the county. May we suggest that registration registra-tion begin at once so that a list of candidates may he announced in the next issue of the News. Your support will he very much appreciated. |
