Show New Harmony M. Hammond Reporter A number of our townspeople drove over to St. George Tuesday to attend the opening session at the Temple. Miss Fay Mathis left Friday for Cedar Vailey where she intends teaching school this season. Word was received here Saturday Satur-day of the death of Bernieee Neilson Law in the Iron county hospital whore she had been taken following a stroke suffered at her work in the telephone exchange ex-change a week ago. Bernieee was once a resident of New Harmony. Har-mony. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Whipple and family of Las Vegas were visitors Monday at the Albert Mathis home. The farmers and stockmen are rejoicing over a 24 hour rain. Park and Lee Cox of St. George were visiting relatives here Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gillespie of Cedar City were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Woolsey. Pratt Prince of St. George was a business visitor here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Grant made a business trip to Cedar City on Monday. Miss Lola Prince will attend the Dixie college this winter. Mrs. Beth G. Schmutz and family have gone to their home in St. George where she will teach school at Dixie college. |
