Show Over 500 Members Attend Municipal Meet Outstanding Speakers Present Topics Of Vital Interest More than 500 members of the Municipal League and Ladies' Auxiliary were in attendance at the two-day St. George convention conven-tion August 31 and September 1, with Mayor J. Bracken Lee of Price presiding over the men and Mrs. Lee, president of the ladies' division. Secretary Monson came in behalf of Governor Henry H. At both the tea, Thursday Thurs-day afternoon and the Friday morning breakfast, there were reported re-ported more than twice as many present as ever before recorded. There were 212 at the breakfast, most of them from outside of St. George. More than 140 took the "See St. George Tour". Special appreciation was expressed for the music presented for all sessions. Prof. Earl J. Bleak and his Dixie college musicians; Mrs. Mae A. Pace and her Dixie Male Quartet; the Misses Rhoda and Noma Andrus, and Miss Mary McGregor, who came on special request to sing in the pageant, provided entertainment that received re-ceived praise in every session. |
