Show West Ward M.I.A. Starts Winter Program Tuesday The St. George west ward M.I.A. commences its winter season with a program of special interest to the public next Tuesday evening, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the St. George elementary school building. The public is invited with a special invitation being extended to the members of the St. George west ward and students stu-dents from outside of St. George who are attending school here this winter. Following the regular opening exercises the following program will be presented: A one-act play read by Miss Emily Brooks, dramatic dra-matic student of the Brigham Young university; musical number num-ber Joe Talley and Kenneth Ken-worthy; Ken-worthy; numbers by the Dixie Male Quartet, under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Mae A. (Continued from first page) class instructors will meet their various classes in a short "Get Acquainted" period. The officers of the west ward M.I.A. take great pleasure in presenting as instructors in-structors for the coming winter season the following men and women: Adult class, Roy A. Welker and Linna Snow; M (Men, Pearson Corbett and Reed Blake; Gleaner, Mrs. Pearson Corbett; Cor-bett; Explorer, Charles Merkley and Earl Cottam; Junior, Delia Blake and Arvilla Ashby; Scout, Evan Earl; Bee Hive, Harriet Cox and Marie Booth, Ethel Blake and LaPrele Gubler, Alice Pendleton and Mrs. Charles Merkley. We wish to call attention to the fact that the M Men-Gleaner ages include all those between 17 and 30. The west ward M.I.A. opening social will be held in the St. George elementary gym Tuesday evening, Sept. 19. The program for this social event will be announced an-nounced in next week's issue of the News. |
