Show Riding Family Holds Annual Reunion Monday Descendants of C. L. Riding met in St. George last Monday for a two-day family reunion. Their program, however, was interrupted interrupt-ed and many who had planned to be present failed to come due to the heavy rain storms that covered the country. Beginning earlv Tuesday morning morn-ing all who could attended the Temple sessions both Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday afternoon 30 members assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Riding for their annual meeting which was followed by a program and melon feast. In the evening the family with many-invited many-invited guests repaired to the open-air pavilion to enjoy old-time old-time and modern dancing. Programs Pro-grams for the second day could not be completed as planned and most of the visitors left for their homes Thursday morning. Visitors from elsewhere included, includ-ed, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Daly, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lee and daughter, daugh-ter, of Panguitch; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riding and two daughters, of Tropic; Mrs. Theressa Huntsman, Hunts-man, of Las Vegas; Mrs. Jane Wagner, of Wyoming; Mrs. Caddie Luke and son Barlow, of Junction; Junc-tion; Mrs. Bertha' Liston, her son and family, of Salina; and Mrs. Levi Atkin and five children, of Buttonwillow, Calif., with their friend, Mervin Dyer, a recent L.D.S. convert, who was baptized during his visit here. |
