Show Captain Alexander Transferred To Castledale Capt. Lawrence J. Alexander, commander of CCC company 585, has received official notice of his transfer to Castledale, Utah where he will take command of company 529. Effective date of transfer is January 5, 1937. Captain Alexander, formerly of Paducah Kentucky, goes to company com-pany 529 with a splendid record of achievement and service, declare those who have watched his work. The Captain is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, with a major in History and Economics, he has had two years training in the field of Law. He received his commission as 2nd Lieutenant in June, 1930, and was assigned to active duty May 18, 1933 and came with the original assignment to the 9th corps area. Since that date he has served on active duty in the Ft. McArthur district, the Ft. George Wright district, the Fresno district, the Missoula district dis-trict and the Ft. Douglas district. Captain Alexander is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha social Fraternity, the Phi Nu Alpha professional pro-fessional music fraternity, the Scabbard and Blade, honorary military fraternity and is a member mem-ber of the Lions club at St. George. After thirty-two months of active ac-tive duty with company 585, those who know him feel that he has demonstrated a fine brand of leadership, has performed his work efficiently and has demonstrated a capacity to accomplish work. With his departure the Captain has the good will and best wishes of the entire company. Mr. Edward W. Field, district educational adviser, was an official of-ficial visitor at Leeds camp, Thursday, December 16. Assistant district inspector Alva Carpender, made his monthly visit to the Leeds camp, on December 18. |
