It was designed nS, (Continued on page nine) Zicn Stake BuHding (Continued from first Base) by Lorenzo S. Young and built under the contract of Bp. Lewis De Young, both of Salt Lake City. The church consists of a full basement base-ment and one ground floor. In the basement are housed the Relief Society room, the kitchen, a banquet ban-quet room which is composed of the artful opening of four class rooms into one; a Seminary room, vault room, dressing rooms, store rooms and six additional rooms. The upper floor is designed for a chapel, a recreation hall, Bishop's room, Stake President's room and foyer. At conference time the chapel, recreation hall and foyer may be opened into one large auditorium with a seating capacity of one thousand persons, seven hundred and fifty of whom will be able to see the speakers. A sound system will be installed in the near future. It has been estimated that two hundred and fifty couples can dance with ease and comfort upon the maple floor of the recreation hall proper. The stake has reserved reser-ved the right to control this hall which is to be used jointly by the two Hurricane wards. |
