Show ZION PAKK CCC CAMP Lt. A. F. Vorpahl, welfare officer offi-cer for Company 1966 left last Tuesday for fifteen days leave. He went to his home at Laramie, Wyoming. Wy-oming. Lieutenant Vorpahl is the oldest officer in point of time with the company, having been attached attach-ed to Zi-;n camp since July, 1934. This is his longest leave of absence. ab-sence. Capt. Evan Jackson, Fort Douglas Doug-las district inspector was a visitor at camp Tuesday. He made the regular monthly camp inspection. James C. Reddock, E.C.W. Inspector In-spector for CCC, was at camp Tuesday on an annual tour of in-peetion. in-peetion. Mr. Reddock is attached attach-ed directly to the staff of E.C.W. Director Robert E. Fechuer. He made a thorough inspection of the camp for recreational, educational, education-al, and safety 'facilities and for general condition of the camp and men. He spent the day at the two Zion camps. Lt. James Olsen, camp mess officer offi-cer has been transferred to Company Com-pany 1508 at Cedar City. Though the transfer was effective on March 10, he will remain at Zion camp until March 20 on detached service. Lieutenant Olsen was transferred to Company 1966 January Jan-uary 14. Company 19 66 entertained at a St. Patricks Day dance last Saturday Sat-urday evening in the company mess hall. The party was the most successful the company has had. Decorations were in green and white with a Shamrock hanging in each window. Girls were transported trans-ported to the camp from Hurricane, Hurri-cane, Toquerville, LaVerkin and Spring! ale. |
