Show WASHINGTON COUNTY DELEGATES HOME PROM COLLEGE Leota. Leany of Hurricane and George H. Seegmiller of St. George, represented Washington county at the second agricultural home economics adult le a d e r s' training course which was held at the Utah State Agricultural college from November 30 to December 11. One hundred twelve men and women leaders from 2 4 counties of the state worked and played together at the state college while attending the short course that was replete with valuable and timely information concerning important im-portant problems regarding Utah's farm family welfare. While the women were engaged engag-ed in discussing home furnishings, furnish-ings, consumers' problems, foods and nutrition land clothing, the men were engaged in studying and learning of plant and animal diseases, and identifying seeds of grains, grasses, weeds, and truck crops. The joint aims of the course were to stimulate a desire to improve the farm crop seeds, to be able to identify pure and adulterated seed samples and to make the most out of the family income through improved home management practices. Special lectures and demonstrators demon-strators appeared before the general gen-eral assemblies which were held each morning at 8:10, and further emphasized the need for leadership leader-ship in many lines among the rural communities of this state and helped the delegates to assume as-sume their positions as leaders. . Evenings were devoted to study, recreation, entertainment such as dramas, musicals, and lectures, or left open for the short-course students to choose their own pastimes. "We expect you as leaders to return to your homes and pass on to the people of your county the information and inspiration you have received during this school," Director Peterson counseled coun-seled in one of his talks before the group. "Each one of you is a marked person now and we expect ex-pect you to take your proper place in looking after the agricultural agri-cultural and home economics interests in-terests of your iparticular section of the state."
