Show PIONEERS OF ST GEORGE HONORED BY LOCAL D. U. P. Pioneers of St. George were honored last Thursday afternoon by the local camps of the Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers at a banquet ban-quet and program in the basement base-ment of the tabernacle. Mrs .Agatha McAllister treated the topic, "The Value of our Pioneers to Local Organizations" and also related true pioneer stories of the early clays in Dixie. Humorous readings were given by Mrs. Myra Hunt and a pioneer reading by fivIVs. Eleanor Gibbons. Vccail solos were sung by Mrs Alice Cannon and Mrs. Bessie Benson and a number was presented pre-sented by the ladies chorus of the East Ward. A' piano duet was given by Leo and Ha Holt and an instrumental selection was played by Mrs. Lucille PitchCorth. The program was in charge of Captain Cap-tain Lutie Lytle of the Manomas Andrus Camp. Four large decorated tables were surrounded by the guests of honor and others who enjoyed visitinig and relating experiences. This was in commoration of the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the pioneers in Dixie. |
