Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS STATE OF UTAH OFFICE OF STATE ROAD COMMISSION SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH September 22, 1937. Sealed bids will be received by the State Road Commission of Utah, State Capitol, Salt Lake City, Utah, at 2 o'clock p.m. Friday Fri-day October 8th, 1937, and at that time publicly opened for construction construc-tion of 2" Road Mix Oil Surfaced Sur-faced Road, including a 138' -6-" span Concrete Bridge in Washington Washing-ton County the same being Feder-il Feder-il Aid Projects Nos. 79-A-D & 12-A-B between St. George and H.n-risbui'g Bench. The length of road to be constructed con-structed or improved is 1.219 miles and the principal items of work are approximately as follows fol-lows : 30,000, Cu. Yds. Unclassified Excavation; Ex-cavation; 556.1, Cu. Yards. Concrete, Con-crete, Class "A". The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract. The minimum wage paid to all skilled labor employed on this contract con-tract shall be 80 cents per hour. The minimum wage paid to all intermediate labor employed on this contract shall be 60 cents per hour. The minimum wage paid to all unskilled labor employed on this contract shall be 50 cents per hour. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and at District Engineer's office of-fice at Cedar City, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective pros-pective bidders. Specifications, proposals, bidding blanks and plans will be furnished at Salt Lake City, on depositing $2.00, which will be returned, providing contractor submits an acceptable bid and returns the plans within seven days after bids are received. Any additional information may be secured at the office of the State Road Commission. Each bidder bid-der must submit a letter from an approved surety company guaranteeing guaran-teeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Cash, certified check, or cashier's check for five per cent of total amount of bid made payable pay-able to the State Road Commission Commis-sion must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and give bond as required. re-quired.
