Show ToqueryiHe Mrs. Kowena Slack Reporter Saturday afternoon the officers of the D.U.P. attended the convention con-vention and the dedication of the monument at Hurricane. Saturday afternoon Mrs. Olga Manning and Mrs. Arvena DeMill entertained at a shower for Mrs. Lloyd McAllister, who was the former Miss Helqne Beatty. Saturday evening the Misses Reta and Neta Smith and Carma Stapley entertained at a shower for Mrs. Elton Spencer. Mrs Spencer was Miss Ola Stapley. Word has been received of the birth of a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crosby of Cedar City at the Iron county hospital. Mrs. Crosby was Miss LaRee Wakeling of this city before her marriage. We had as our guest speakers in sacrament meeting Mr. and Mrs. Fauson of Hurricane. Mrs. Martha Bringhurst of Pocatello, Idaho is here visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bringhurst, Bring-hurst, Mr. and Mrs. George Bringhurst Bring-hurst and Mrs. Helen Dodge spent Saturday and Sunday at Las Vegas and Boulder Dam. Quentin Beatty left Tuesday for Provo where he will attend school. Our M.I.A. commenced their winter's work Sunday night with an opening social. |
