Show S AROUND Ef THE HOUSE Urn 1 To remove spots from varnished floors, rub quickly with a cloth dipped in warm water and mild soap suds. Wipe thoroughly and repolish at once. Water removes finish from varnished floors, so use it only as suggested. Never throw away bones left from a roast or shoulder. Put them on in cold water and if cooked several hours, a very good soup may be obtained with the addition of diced vegetables. Bread mildews easily in damp weather. As soon as you have baked bread, set it on a rack to cool, then store it, uncovered, in a bread box. Even so, you'll have to watch it often for the first appearance ap-pearance of mildew. |
