Show Los Aniigos Club Holds Second Meeting of Year On Monday Night The Los Amigos club met last Monday evening at the Arrowhead Arrow-head hotel and while pre-election activities ' claimed many members, those present reported a pleasant evening. Adding much to the enjoyment of the evening were the newly revised booklets of Los Amigos club songs. Appreciation for the efforts of Mrs. Lee Owens, Mrs. Walter Pace and Mrs. J. J. Milne for their efforts in collecting and publishing the songs and to the Washington County News for the covers and binding which now gives the booklet a pleasing distinction. dis-tinction. Short reminiscences of the early history of the club were indulged in. Mrs. Pace received enthusiastic enthusi-astic applause for her part in its founding in-1934. Of the charter members, about twelve were present. pres-ent. Those winning prizes for highest high-est Five Hundred scores were J. W. Pace and Mrs. Hannah Pike. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Lee Owens, Mrs. Gordon Mathis, Mrs. Arthur Mitchell and Mrs. LaVon McQuaid. |
