Show Dixie F. F. A. Announce Plans For 1940 Annual Harvest Ball F- F. A. Publicity Department By Dixie The Pilgrims celebrated Thanksgiving Thanks-giving with a harvest feast. Each Vrar since it has been celebrated m a similar manner. Fat turkeys, cranberries, pumpkin pies, cakes, creamed potatoes with all the 'rimmings and a thousand other delicacies have graced the Am-w'can Am-w'can tables. This year the Dixie chapter future Farmers of America want ' help you enjoy Thanksgiving. T',f,v arc sponsoring a harvest Mil Tuesday night, November 19. A. are working hard to make it the best. Not only will they provide the right atmosphere for a good dance, but they promise some prizes to help out with local Thanksgiving dinners. Among the prizes to be given away is a "nice fat 20-pound torn". Other prizes will include a chicken, pumpkins, pumpkin pies, cakes, apples, one gallon of apple cider, nuts raisins and other prizes. For details as to how the prizes will be given away, please contact F. F. A. members, or better still, attend the dance. At 11 p. m., a young lady will be crowned Queen and given a $5 prize and later on will have a full-page picture of herself reproduced re-produced in the college year book. The winner of the Queen contest will be selected from among the candidates presented by the various vari-ous classes. Voting for the Queen will begin tomorrow at the college. |
