Show America Is Known for Its Generosity The announcement of W. A. Nelson, president of the Lions Club and Glenn E. Snow, president of the Rotary Club, that these organizations are giving aid to the needy, calls attention of the part that these and other organization take in demonstrating the generosity of the American people. All over the world the American people are noted for their generosity. There is never a major disaster throughout the world that they are not called upon to help and respond wholeheartedly. This year the St. George Lions Club will present baskets bas-kets of food to those who they know are in need of it. The Rotary Club has announced that it will cooperate with the county welfare board in any way that this organization suggests. Both groups have standing offers to assist financially finan-cially and otherwise needy cases. The Rotary Club has provided the money to send many crippled children to the Shriners' Hospital in Salt Lake City and is providing free milk for children of the St. George schools whose parents cannot afford to buy it for them. The Lions, likewise are active in similar projects and any move that is for the betterment of this community and all of Dixie. . .. Yes, we believe that American people are entitled to their reputations for generosity. |
