Show Santa Clara Miss Laura Gubler Reporter The Santa Clara Relief Society conference was held Sunday afternoon. after-noon. The program was conducted by Mrs. Rulon Stucki, second counselor, under the direction of the bishopric. A choir which consisted of the Relief Society members sang, "Give Me A Home In the Heart of the Mountains", and "Lord, We Come Before Thee". A financial and short report of the year's work was given by assistant secretary, sec-retary, Mrs. Josephine Knight. A vocal duet was sung by Mrs. Ven-don Ven-don Ence and Mrs. Landon Frei. A talk on Relief Society work was given by Mrs. Joseph T. At-Kin At-Kin and closing remarks were made by Ernest Reber, first counselor coun-selor to the bishop. The Washington ward presented the play, "Laughing Irish Eyes", to a large audience Saturday nite. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reber and son Rodney, are spending the week at Salt Lake City. The five-months-old twin son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Stucki is slowly improving at the hospital where he has been confined with pneumonia. Assessor Henry Graff attended an assessor's convention in Salt Lake City this week. |
