Show MESQUITE Mesquite, New, May 10. Parley Leavitt met with a very bad accident while working at Overton. He was building a fence when the wire broke and hit him across the face, the steel entering one eye. A doctor was called call-ed but was unable to do anything for him so the doctor took him to Salt Lake for aid. Word has been received re-ceived that the doctors think the sight of the eye can be saved. We surely hope so. Some mineral experts were here from Houston, Texas, accompanied by Messrs. Brown and Crandel of Phoenix, Ariz., were here last week looking.over some mica claims in this vicinity. Mrs. James E. Hughes has return ed from Arden where she had been visiting for a week with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Heber Leavitt. Mrs. Parley Leavitt took . her daughter Leila to St. George for medical aid. She has an abscess caused by the measles. Mr. and Mrs Walter Hughes and their daughter, Francetta, made a business trip to St. George last week. Howard Pulsipher- and Elmer Hughes made a business trip to Las Vegas last week end. Richard Horsley is at Las Vegas for an operation. |
