Show Peking Reports Reaching, U. S. Washington Intimations of official Irritation over press reports from foreign for-eign sources purporting to state the attitude of the Washington government govern-ment on questions in China were given at the White House in connection with a flat deniel of such a report that Minister Min-ister MacMurray at Peking had resigned re-signed because of differences with the state department over American policy pol-icy in China. President Coolidge, it was said, knows of no foundation for the report that MacMurray has or intends in-tends to resign. The presidents attention at-tention has been called to a number of reports of foreign origin of the same character and he looks with considerable consider-able suspicion as to the motives which underlie their circulation. |
