Show Local News Items Mr. and Mrs. George W. Pace left last Thursday on a two week's vacation, they will visit relatives and friends in Salt Lake City for a few days then will spend the remainder of the time in Los Angeles. Mrs. Grant 1 in returned Monday from Las Vegas, after spending two week's there with her husband. C. C. Bowler and family left Friday for Salt Lake City to spend a week with relatives and on business. Mrs. -Brigham Jarvis, Jr., left Saturday morning for iSalt Lake City to spend a few weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Parsons who are the parents of a son, born Friday. Mrs. Parsons will be remembered by friends here as Miss Virginia Jarvis. The little one died before Mrs. Jarvis Jar-vis arrived in Salt Lake. The Ladies' Sewing Club met at the home of Mis. Emma Crosby Cros-by on Thursday afternoon. Seven were present and a very pleasant time was had. Mrs. Mada Jorgensen of Overton, Over-ton, Nevada arrived here last Wednesday night to spend some time. Misses Lucile and Marie Brad-shaw Brad-shaw of Caliente, Nevada have been visiting at the home of Miss Edith Fullerton for several days. '.C 'ft5 Neaf Hamblin, one of Kane county's commissioners, and D. W. Bowman, brother of O. C. Bowman, were business visitors in St. George last 'Saturday. They are both Kanab residents. .V, -V. 'IV Mrs. Tina ' Macfarlane, left last Monday for Salt Lake City, after af-ter receiving word that her son-in-law, Dr. Samuel Bleak was seriously ill with blood poisoning, poison-ing, she will stay two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Bleak. Mts. C. D. Alsop and children, Jim and Dora, returned Sunday from Los Angeles, afteT visiting with Mrs. Alsop's mother, Mrs. Dora E. Cheel, who sailed Saturday Sat-urday afternoon on a trip to the Orient. They were accompanied home by Marland Strasser a former class mate of Jim's. Dick Lund has gone to Glen-dale, Glen-dale, Nevada, where he has employment. em-ployment. !S Mrs. H. C.
