Show LA VERKIN La Verkin, June 20. Ashworth Thompson arrived home from Bozeman, Montana, last Tuesday where he attended at-tended the Montana State college.. He was a St. George visitor the latter part of the week. We are justly proud of our boys records in the various schools they have attended. Headed by Ashworth Ash-worth Thompson, who won fame as the best forward in basket ball in all the Rocky Mountain conference and brought home a lettered sweater from both basket ball and base ball, we have nine others boys who brought home from other high schools and col-legse col-legse lettered sweaters. Attorney Lewis Larson and Ray P. Dyring of Manti and cashier .Fare of Provo Com: Savings bank were here today to-day to attend the annual stockholders meeting of the La Verkin Hot Springs. The following officers were elected: James Judd, president; George Stevens of Cedar City, vice president; John A. Judd, secretary; Henry W. Gubler of La Verkin and Farr of Provo, directors. Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Barnhurst and children of Hatch stopped over here today to-day on their way to St. George to do temple work. The cherry season is at a close here and today .the first greensboro peaches and apricots were shipped otu. The second crop of alfalfa is being harvested and is very good. The Bee Hive girls of Hatch spent last Wednesday here. |
