Show pbess being i 1NST.GEDRGEDILF1ELD J. F. Walker, president of the MidAmerican Mid-American Oil Co. came in from Ogden Monday night and intends leaving again today. Work at the well, south of this city, is going better since the new 10-inch casing was put down. Two 12-hour shifts are running, making mak-ing from a foot to 18 inches of hole per hour. The News does not know the depth of the hole, as this information is not being given out. Uzona Continues Drilling The Uzona Oil Co., the pioneers in the St. George oil field are making steady progress with their well on the Bloomington Dome. The drill has got out of the very hard flinty limestone and is now in better material for drilling. drill-ing. The Virgin Field The Utacal Oil Co., K. M. Doan, general gen-eral manager, has three wells on pump with a total average weekly production of 125 barrels. This company expects to bring in a new well today. The Virgin Petroleum Co., Harry S. Stonehill, general manager, has its deep test well down 970 feet and is casing the well. 8Vi-in. casing in cement, to shut off a large flow of water. |
