Williams, St. George, secretary and treasurer; treas-urer; the balance of the board is John Fuller, Cedar City; Enoch Burton, St. George, and J. F. Tolton, Beaver, Utah. At this meeting meet-ing today, plans were formulated whereby this company should be in operation within nintyays. Drilling Campaign Recently, this company after careful consideration leased approximately. ap-proximately. 4600 acres of land all situated in Washington county, Utah, for the purpose of exploring for crude petroleum. Before leasing, this acreage was favorably reported upon by reputed inter-mountain petroleum engineers, inasmuch as it is well located structurally upon the Punchbowl, Washington and Bloomington Domes. The underlying formation of these domes carry certain peculiar pecu-liar characteristics which has had a tendency to make drilling exceedingly slow in this field. To eliminate this situation, Mr. Alsop has designed special drilling equipment. Blue prints for this equipment were turned over to the representatives of two nationally known oil well supply companies early 'this week for competitive bidding upon a basis of sixty day delivery. |
