Show SANTA CLARA Santa Clara, Sept. 21. Last Sunday Sun-day evening we were honored with a musical concert by some of the talent tal-ent from the Dixie college, under the able direction of Professor Earl J. Bleak. It was very much enjoyed by all present and we hope they will come again. President Joseph K. Nicholes accompanied them. Mrs. Jacob Frei has returned from Provo, where she spent the past month taking care of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Cottam's children while Mrs. Cottam went to Chicago to visit her husband, who returned hqme with her. "Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ray entertained enter-tained a few of their friends at an ice cream party one day last week. The occasion being their wedding anniversary. anniv-ersary. Our public school opened with Claud Frei principal and Miss Lola Hafen and Miss Ruth Atkin from St. George as teachers. Our Relilef Society had a bazzar last Wednesday which was very successful, suc-cessful, also a dance at night. Crayton Leavitt has gone to Death Valley Junction where he will teach school the following winter. Ether J. Stucki who is teaching school at Cedar City spent the week end here with his family. Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Ether J. Stucki, Sept. 16, all concerned concer-ned doing nicely. Miss Nettie Reber has gone to St. George for some time. Harvey Staheli has gone to Provo to attend school. |
