Show UTAH ARTIST TO MOVE TO ZION PARK CAWON J. B. Fairbanks, Utah artist who has assisted to make Zion National park famous by his landscape payings, pay-ings, will make his home at Spring-dale, Spring-dale, in the mouth of the canyon. Due to the illness of his wife's mother, Mrs. O. D. Gifford. who re sides in Springdale, it has become necessary for Mr. and Mrs. Fairbanks and their children, Nellie Johnson. Florence. Merwin. J. B., Jr., and Kendall Fairbanks, to care for Mrs. Gifford. The Fairbanks will leave in three weeks. They have lived in Salt Lake for 26 years, their residence being at 1111 Whitlock avenue. In addition to the painting; of Mr-Fairbanks Mr-Fairbanks that have been seen in various var-ious art exhibits of the intermountain district, his work in the Salt Lake. St. George and Arizona temples of the Church is notable. In these buildings build-ings he was engaged in interior decorating. dec-orating. During the summer months an exhibit ex-hibit of his paintings will be placed in the McCune School of Music and Art. 200 north Main street. Mr. Fairbanks said he is not certain cer-tain how long he will live at Spring-dale, Spring-dale, but he expects it will be for some time. Deseret News. |
