Show LICENSES AN ORDINANCE Amending section 162 and repealing repeal-ing section 286 of the 1930 Revised Re-vised Ordinances of City of St. George, and repealing section 2 of an ordinance requiring a license for distribution of crude petroleum or its products and for acts not otherwise provided for. Be it ordained by the City Council Coun-cil of the City of St. George, Utah: Sec. 1. Section Amended. Section Sec-tion 162, 1930 Revised Ordinances of City of St. George, is hereby amended to read as follows : Sec. TG2. Miscellaneous Licenses. Every person before engaging in or pursuing any business, vocation or calling, hereinafter mentioned, shall obtain a license so to do unless un-less otherwise provided, and make payments on a quarterly basis into the city treasury, in advance, as follows, except as otherwise provided: pro-vided: Drug Store $25.00 Book agent 5-00 Sewing machine agent 10.00 Photographer 2.50 Solicitors of crayon, oil, or other productions, and en-largers en-largers of portraits or pictures 10-00 Music or theatrical hall 10.00 Electric or moving picture theater - 25.00 Circus or equestrian exhibition, exhibi-tion, per day - 25.00 Traveling menagerie, per day, per animal 1-50 Laundry, per quarter 5.00 Dancing hall 10.00 Vulcanizing shop 3.00 Shooting gallery - 10.00 Skating rink 10.00 Garage keeper andor automobile au-tomobile dealer . 10.00 Service station 5.00 Theatrical representation, concert, ball, lecture, . dance, or tricks of legerdemain, leger-demain, for each performance perform-ance or exhibition, in an unlicensed hall, when tickets tick-ets are sold or an admission admis-sion fee is charged 25.00 Provided, that for entertainments entertain-ments given for purely charitable or benevolent purposes, no license shall be required. It shall be the duty of the city' recorder, by and with the approval of the mayor, to fix and determine deter-mine the amount of any license fee for any business or undertaking undertak-ing not hereinbefore mentioned, provided, that such license shall not be less than $5.00 per quarter, nor more than $150.00 per quarter. quar-ter. It shall be unlawful for any person per-son to conduct any business not heretofore listed without paying the license fee as assessed by the city recorder and the mayor as provided herein. Section 2. Sections Repealed. Section 286 of the 1930 Revised Ordinances of the City of St. George, and section 2 of an ordinance ordi-nance requiring a license for distribution dis-tribution of crude petroleum or its products and for acts not otherwise provided for are hereby repealed.
