Show FUNERAL SERVICES AT SANTA CLARA FOR MRS. ADA IIAFEN Funeral services over the remains re-mains of Mrs. Ada Blake Hafen of Santa Clara, who died in St. George Thursday night, were held In the ward chapel at Santa Clara Friday afternoon. Bishop Vivian J. Frel presided. Opening prayer was by Henry Graff. The speakers were Arthur K. Hafen, former Bishop E. R. Frei, and President Jos. K. Nich-oles. Nich-oles. Musical numbers were furnished fur-nished by a mixed quartet and the ward choir. H. Val Hafen offered the benediction and the grave in the Santa Clara cemetery was dedicated dedi-cated by Ernest Reber. Mrs. Charles Hafen died at nine o'clock Thursday night after a prolonged pro-longed illness. Since the birth of a child three months ago her health has failed rapidly. She was born in St. George June 22, 1893, a daughter of Benjamin and Anna Ellicock Blake. On September 11, 1911, she was married in the St. George temple to Charles Hafen of Santa Clara. Nine children were born to this union, all of whom survive their mpther. They are: Lois, aged 16. the eldest, Weston, Leonard, Wayne, Dean, Mildred, Leslie, Ralph and the baby, three months old. Other survivors are her husband, father, four brothers, Benjamin Blake, Jr., of Salt Lake, Joseph, Royal, and Roland, all of St. George; four sisters, Mrs. Edwin Wade, Mrs. ' Marcell Schmutz, both of St. George, Mrs. Marie Gubler of Santa Clara, and Mrs. Edith Larson of Cedar City, a half brother, Cecil Blake, and two half sisters, Hazel and Ina, all of St. George. |
