Show JAIVIES A. WORTHEN PASSES AT PANGUITCH Funeral services were held Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at the Panguitch tabernacle tab-ernacle for James A. Worthen, who died in the L. D. S. hospital at Salt Lake City on November 17, following fol-lowing a long illness. The house was filled to capacity with relatives rela-tives and friends who gathered to pay their last respects to their beloved be-loved friend and neighbor. James Arthur, son of Samuel and Maria Grow Worthen, was born December 27, 1857, at Salt Lake City. During his early childhood the family moved to New Harmony, and while still a young man removed to Panguitch where he had since made his home. He is survived by his widow, eight children, forty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The following brothers and sisters sis-ters live in St. George: George W. Worthen, Mrs. Mary Ann Sullivan, Alice Milne and Mrs. Eliza Ann Judd. In the passing of James A. Worthen, Wor-then, Panguitch has sustained the loss of a very useful and highly esteemed es-teemed citizen. Few individuals in this community have contributed more to the growth and welfare of this city than has this man. Garfield Gar-field County News. |
