Show ELIZA ANN PARRY IS LAID TO REST Funeral services for Mrs. Elisa Ann Macfarlane Parry, age 59 were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Ward Chapel in Cedar City under the direction of the Second Ward Bishopric. The opening prayer was given by D. H. Morris of St. George. A song, "Flowerland," was sung by a double mixed quartet. The friend and neighbor for years, told friend and neighbor for year, told of his acquaintance with the family, and what a wonderful mother she had been. A vocal solo, "The Rosary," was sung by Mrs. Hazel Granger. Roy Halverson played a violin solo. The next speaker, President William Will-iam R. Palmer of the Parowan Stake told of her wonderful work in the church. A vocal duet, "There is a Land," was sung by Mrs. Leland Betensen and Mrs. Ann Gardner. Bishop S. F. Leigh of the feliird ward was the final speaker. He also spoke of Mrs. Parry's wonderful work in the church. Of her willingness willing-ness to serve whenever called upon. Mr. and Mrs. Parry served serv-ed for years on the Old Folks committee. A vocal solo, "The End of a Perfect Day," was sung by Mrs. Hazel Granger. Closing prayer was by Arthur Jones. The grave in the Cedar City cemetery was dedicated by James Parry. Mrs. Parry was born in Cedar City, January 1, 1876 the daughter daugh-ter of Daniel S. and Keturah H. Macfarlane. She married Evelyn Parry and they are the parents of four children, all of whom survive sur-vive her: Mrs. Earl Cannon and Mrs. Marion Snow of St. George and Mrs. Walter Merryweather ana uonway .Tarry, or ueaar uiny. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Isaac Higbee, Mrs. Wallace Adair and two brothers, William C. and Kenneth Macfarlane Macfar-lane all of Cedar City. |
