Show GUNLOCK Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hunt who are spending the winter in St. George are home here for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bowler who are living fn Las Vegas, where Mr. Bowler has employment are home to spend the holidays. The Primary gave a dance Monday Mon-day afternoon which was greatly enjoyed by the little folks. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Bowler and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bowler Bow-ler of Veyo are spending Christmas Christ-mas here. Milton Holt and Kay McAllister McAllis-ter have gone to Enterprise for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Jones of Pioche, Nevada are spending the holidays here with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Burt Laub ol St. George have moved here .for the winter. Our school gave an entertainment entertain-ment here Sunday night with a nice program and Christmas tree. Santa Clans brought sacks of candy and nuts for the children. r ENTERPRISE Mrs. Marian Terry spent Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday visiting in Las Vegas. The E. H. S. competative play, 'HSkidding," was staged here Wednesday Wed-nesday night. The following students took part: Nora Bar-locker, Bar-locker, Fay Alger, Inez Cunningham, Cunning-ham, Viola Bauers, Helena Thomas, Thom-as, Boise Truman, Bill Hill, Wayne Williams, Ellison Piatt, and George Lytle. It was under the direction of Karma McGregor and showed good work. All of our students are home from the Dixie College for the holidays. Hortense Hunt is home from Las Vegas where she has been attending school, to spend the i holidays. The Enterprise district school children entertained Thursday and Friday nights. The seventh and eighth grades put on two short plays which were very good. Mrs. Ila Terry directed the plays. The high school helped help-ed out with a ifew musical numbers. num-bers. Members of our new band made their first appearance. Nel-le Nel-le Lytle, Orilla Lamb and Audrey Au-drey Alger played a mellophone trio and Ivan Barlow played a solo. A vocal trio by Nora Bar-locker, Bar-locker, Reah Farnsworth, and Fay Alger, completed Thursday night's program. Friday night the six lower grades put over some very clever clev-er stunts and at the close Santa Claus appeared on the scene and distributed candy and nuts to everybody. It appears that the Primary officers and the school teachers were influential in bringing bring-ing Santa Claus. A Ire dance for all under fourteen completed the program. The following men went to St. George to attend a meeting with officials of the forest service serv-ice to try to regulate the grazing conditions, Arthur Huntsman, L. M. Terry, Jont Hunt, Durward Terry, E. E. Huntsman, Alma Truman, Amos Hunt, and Jake Truman, Ranger Swapp of the forest service also accompanied them. The E. E. E. club held a bridge party at the home of Mrs. Rulon Pectol Wednesday night. There were eight members present. pre-sent. High score was awarded to Alia Truman and low score to Belle Holt. The time in our Sunday Sacrament Sacra-ment service was devoted to the lives of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the Savior. The following program was rendered: Reading, Dorothy Truman; Cornet solo, Roy Staheli; "Life of Joseph Smith," Durward Terry; Anthem by choir; Reading, Amos Holt. The Sunday School and Mu-tuals Mu-tuals were also devoted to the lives of the prophets and savior. Leo Snow was here Saturday going over our water system. |
