Show LICENSE PLATES FOR NEXT YEAR ARE ORDERED BY STATE The B. W. Norton Manufacturing Company of Oakland, Calif., was awarded the contract Friday for furnishing fur-nishing the state with the 1928 auto license plates. The contract as awarded by the board of supplies and purchase calls for 90,000 pairs of passenger pas-senger car plates, 14,000 pairs of truck plates, 14,000 single load load plates, 500 pairs of motorcycle plates, 700 pairs of exempt plates, 149 trailer plates, 298 pairs of dealers plates, to be submitted for $11,798.02. The plates are to be of the same size as have been used for the last few years, but are to be of thoroughly Picked steel, No. 26 gauge furnished y the Columbia steel corporation. Black letters on yellow background will the color combination. Deseret News. |
