(I in St. George- they arc basin? thi.s on the fact that a gr-at many or these race horse men are taking advantage of the ideal weather here in Dixie to keep their horses in condition for race meets in California where they will enter their horses. Not only are there horses here from thv Intei'-inountain district but also a number from Las Vegas and California. These same horses will again race against each other on the larger tracks in California. According to the race committee commit-tee there should be between ror-ty ror-ty and fifty head of horses entered en-tered in these various races. Those who have seen them work out report that they are in fine condition and should provide some keen competition. Coupled with this there will bo a line boxing card for throe of the nights and dances each night to top the best entertainment en-tertainment along this line that has ever been offered to the people of this district. Following is the way the program pro-gram races will be run off on the various days: First Day Band parade at 10:30 a.m. Races to start at 2:00 p.m. 1. Free for all, one mile, purse $100. 2. Once around the track, for 2-year-olds, purse, $50. 3. Free for all, five-eighths mile, purse, $75. 4. Free for all, one-quarter one-quarter mile, purse, $50. 5. Free for all, three-eighths mile, purse, $50. 6. Free for all, once around track, purse, $50. Second Day 1. Classified, one mile, purse, $100. 2. Classified, one-quarter mile, purse, $50. 3. Free for all, half-mile, purses, $75. 4. Once around track, purse, $50. 5. Free for all, five-eighths mile, purse, $75. 6. Free for all, three-eighths mile, purse, $50. Third Day 1. Free for all, once around track, purse, $100. 2. Two-year-olds only, half mile, purse, $50. 3. Two-year-olds, local, one-fourth one-fourth mile, purse, $50. 4.
