Show HURRICANE DAUGHTERS OF UTAH PIONEERS HOLD MEETING The Hurricane chapter of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers held a meeting and social on Monday, Mon-day, December 10th, at the home of Artie Reeve. The meeting was opened by Sister Sarah Wilson, Wil-son, one of the old pioneers of Hurricane. There were present five generations gen-erations of the Mrs. Y. E. Steele Stapley family. Mrs. Stapely, who is reported to be the first white child born in Utah is S7 years old. The youngest present pre-sent was only two months. The afternoon was spent in playing games, dancing, singing and a program. James Jepson, the oldest pioneer gave a pioneer reading. Refreshments of Pion eer moiasses cake, Barley coffee, and apples were served to fifty-five fifty-five guests and members. |
