Show WOODWARD SCHOOL Miss Seegmiller's fifth grade. Our class made the best record In spelling this month that It has made this yar. Seventeen hoys and girls had perfect scores In the months words. They were: Maude Pentley, Grace Pentley, Carol Cox, Ada Cragun, Beth Empey, Ida Foremaster, Inez Fullerton. Emma Sullivan, Richard Rich-ard Connon. Bud Parry, Herbert Pitch forth. Darwin Reber, Harold Stirling and Ellsworth Snow. Many Interesting things happened hap-pened at the track meet in Hurricane, Hur-ricane, Friday, April 27th. In the 7th and 8th grade boys division, di-vision, the Woodward came first with 2513 points and Washington Washing-ton third with 5 points. In the 5th and 6th grade boys division, Hurrirnne came first with 22 13 points and Woodward third with S 56 points. In the 7th and Sth grade girls division Hurricane Hur-ricane was first with 13 points. Woodward second with 7 points and Toquei-viHe third with 5 points. The outstanding events were the relay races and the high jump. In the latter event Lor-aine Lor-aine McArthur 'for two years Pentathlon champion beat all, his previous records by jumping jump-ing 4 ft. 10 In. |
