Show ENTIRE GOUNTY IS OPEN TO ANGLERS; LIST ITERS OPEN Bryan Lund, president of the Washington County Fish and Game association, reports that there has been some cor.fussion as to whether the Enterprise reservoir would be open to fishing. fish-ing. Tn order to clear up this question, ques-tion, Mr. Lund phoned to Mr. Cook, the Utah State Fish and Game commissioner, and Mri Cook told him that he would leave the question as to what would be open in this county, up to the local association. Under Un-der the present conditions, it has been decided to open the entire en-tire county. Following is a proclamation by Mr. Cook telling just which fishing waters of the state are to be open and the time of opening: WHElllSAS, uy reason oi me present drought condition and the early season it has become advisable to permit fishing in certain of the streams of this State prior to June 15, 1934. NOW THEREFORE, I, Newell B. Cook, Fish and Game Commissioner Com-missioner of the State of Utah, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of this State, do hereby proclaim and declare that all streams of this State and Bear Lake, located in Rich County, Utah, except as nerein below otherwise provided shall be opened to fishing commencing at 4 a.m. Sunday, May 13, 1934. The following lakes and streams of this iState shall be closed to fishing until 4 a.m. the morning of June 15, 1934, to-wit: All lakes- in- the-Uinfeah Mountains Moun-tains lying above an altitude of 7,000 feet and that portion of all the streams in me ummu Mountains lying above an elevation ele-vation of 7,000 'feet (this includes in-cludes the lakes at the head of the Provo, Duchesne, Rock Creek. Uintah, Green and Bear Rivers, but does not include Moon Lake in Duchesne County) ; All of the Weber River above the bridge which is located three miles west of Holladay Park,, near Howell'j Ranch, Summit (Continued on last page.) Every other day half the class were observers and the other half conducted the play hour. Tuesdays and Thursdays, ! the class meet together to discuss dis-cuss problems ari'sing in the "Play . School." The following schedule was made and followed by the class: 3:00 to 3:10 Songs 3:10 to 3:20 Stories 3:20 to 3:25 Exercise 3:25 to 3:40 Games 3:40 to 3:45 Drink 3:45 to 4:00 Free play. j Friday, May 4th is to be a j party and games and free play is to be the order of the day. This school has given the girls practice in playing with children and in their way has taught them to understand and appreciate appre-ciate the child in the home to a j greater extent. i Personality Class Entertains The personality class of the I Home Economics Department in i the Dixie College gave a party at the home of Annie McArthur, May 1. The girls of the class, 17 in number, invited their boy friends to help enjoy their fun. The years project in the Personality Person-ality clas :swas to teach the girls to become more socially minded by learning how to be a good hostess and leader in their group. The class was divided into groups o'f two and a party was given by a group each month. The expense was to be under $1.00. Two mixed group parties were given during the year to note the girls reaction to the opposite sex. |
