Show ENTERPRISE j Handcart Pioneer Very Low Enterprise, July 12. We have been having some very hot weather the past ten days since the storms, and crops are in need of more moisture. moist-ure. The dry land grain is ripe and prospects are good for a large yield. The second crop of alfalfa is about ready to cut. Our water supply is getting very low but we will have enough to keep the town going and take care of the potato patches. We are surely growing. Ten babies bab-ies blessed at last fast day. Eight of them boys and three new baby boys since our last report in the News, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Adair, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. C. Staheli and Mr. and Mrs. Murry Barnum; all concerned con-cerned doing nicely. John Elliker, one of our pioneer citizens, is very low at this writing and his children from various points are here. Her is one of the few surviving sur-viving hand cart veterans and is 83 years old. The committee is working for a big celebration on the 24 and 25 of the month. No carnival this year but a good time on these days is being be-ing prepared. Work on the new reservoir is progressing pro-gressing in fine shape and we hope to have it completed by fall so as to take care of the winter run off. Mrs. Keith McArthur of St. George has been here visiting her brother, William Lund, the past week. Miss Irrna Nelson of St. George is visiting with Phyllis Canfield this week. A. A. Nelson of St. George was a business visitor here Sunday. I Mrs. Gale of Ogden is visiting at 1 the home of her son Walter. |
