Show FATHERS AXD SONS HAVE BIG OUTING St. George seems almost deserted this week, so many man and boys having gone to that delightful mountain moun-tain retreat on the annual M. I. A. Fathers and Sons outing. About a dozen men, the advance party went to Pine Valley last Thursday Thurs-day to work on the scout - home, the large log building being erected there. On Monday there was a big exodus to that place. There the men will assist in completing the building while the scouts engage in intensive training. Chester A. Kemp, the builder, is supervising the construction construc-tion of the scout house. How many men and boys took in the outing we are unable to tell at this time but will endeavor to do so in our next issue. But we feel safe in saying that the attendance is the best ever. And those who have gone will certainly benefit by escaping a few hot days and one extremely warm night here. The editor was unable to take in the outing himself on account of it occupying. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, but we will try and get a report of what was done from those who were there for our next issue. Some of the outers came home Wednesday night, some early this morning, and most of them will have returned by tonight. |
