Show A HOT WEEK This week so far has been a hot one. The government local observer, obser-ver, R. U. Macfarlane gives the following fol-lowing figures for maximum temperature temper-ature this week: Sunday 109, Monday Mon-day 112, Tuesday 112 and Wednesday Wednes-day 111. Usually we boast of fairly cool nights during our hottest summer sum-mer weather but Tuesday night was an exception, the temperature going no lower than 7 7. Mr. Macfarlane says this is the warmest night recorded re-corded since he has been keeping the instruments eight years smashing the previous high record by four degrees. de-grees. Today gives promise of keeping up the average for the week. We have had several thunder showers, plenty of thunder and lightening but very little rain. A good big rain would be very welcome. |
