Show ENTERPRISE Enterprise, Jan. 17. This community com-munity was shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. Emma Hafen Tuesday night at Santa Clara. Mrs. Hafen has been a sufferer with heart trouble for a year or more. The condition getting worse, her husband took her to St. George Monday and on to his mother's a t Santa Clara where she died Tuesday night. Mrs. Hafen was born at Biglow ranch, Washington county, March 20, 1S93, a daughter of George A. Truman and Emma Leavitt. She was married to Joseph Hafen of Santa Clara, Dec. 12, 1915. Five children were born to them, four chilJren and her husband hus-band survive, the youngest child being be-ing one year old last April. She was brought to her home here and funeral funer-al survices were held Thursday. Brother Hafen and children have the deepest sympathy of the whole community. com-munity. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Truman, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Truman, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hall of Pioche, Nevada, Frank and Walter Haferi of Santa Clara came to attend the funeral services of their sister, Mrs. Emma Hafen, besides a number of relatives and friends from Gunlock. Friday night the school faculty gave a bundle shower for Miss Minnie Crawford and Mr. Theon Jones. A very enjoyable time was had. Last Friday afternoon the friends of Miss Vera Hunt surprised her with a bundle shower at her home. |
