Show LEEDS Leeds, Jan. 16. Last Friday two car loads of people went to the St. George temple on the 50th anniversary. anniver-sary. Among them were Mr. and Mrs. B. Y. McMullin, who had been married 50 years on that day, as they were married in the temple on the opening day. Mr. McMullin doesn't have very good health; but Mrs. McMullin Mc-Mullin is president of the Relief Society and takes active part in the ward. They are highly esteemed in this community. We have been enjoying the visits of home missionaries, Elders Taylor of St. George and Elder Hardy of La Verkin. They have visited each home in the ward and held two cottage cot-tage meetings. Willard McMullin, Stanley Fuller, Clyde McQuaide and Wayne Angell went to Hurricane last night to attend at-tend the basket ball game and dance. The boy scouts had a chicken supper sup-per at Mr. and Mrs. Ed. McMullin's Friday evening. They report a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. James White and daughter of Salt Lake City spent the week end here with relatives. Earl V. Storm, forest ranger here for several years, spent Sunday here from Parowan. Reed Fuller underwent an operation opera-tion for nose trouble at St. George Thursday. Clyde McMullin has gone to Salt Lake where he will stay for a few months. Fay and Clair Sterling spent the week end home from the Dixie college. col-lege. Lewis Hartley is spending a few days in St. George with relatives. Stanley Fuller was a St. George visitor Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. McMullin were ! St. George visitors Tuesday. JVIrs. Elinor Scott is in St. George for a short stay. Alex Colbath in is Salt Lake City on business. |
