Show New Minerals Bill Offered Washington -Chairman Sinnott of the house ptiblic lands committee, at the request of the interior department, introduced 'in the house the following bill authorizing the issuance of patents for lauds containing deposits of copper cop-per and associated minerals: "Section' 1. That, in the discretion of the secretary secre-tary of the interior, locations mads under un-der the lode mining laws of the United States upon unreserved public lands claimed to contain, at depth, copper and associated minerals, the actual existence ex-istence of which can be demonstrated only through deep shafts or other deep underground workings, may be passed to patent upon evidence satisfactory to him of the mineral character of the mini., iiitiiuiu tire requirement tuat applicants ap-plicants show- actual discovery of mineral min-eral upon or within the limits of their claim or claims; provided, that, not to exceed G40 acres of land may be located, lo-cated, held, applied for by, or patented to, any one individual or corporation under the provisions of this act.
