Show ENTERPRISE Sunday morning about ten o-clock o-clock the home o: Lucy Adair caught fire in the upper floor of the building. The fire was discovered by passers by and the alarm was soon spread and every able bodied person in town rushed rush-ed to the scene of trouble but in spite of all that could be done the house was completely destroyed destroy-ed and very few of the household house-hold belongings were saved. It is supposed that defective wiring caused the flr.e Alma, the ten year old son of Jont. Hunt, was dragged from a horse by a clothes line wire and was quite seriously hurt. He was taken to Cedar City for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Huntsman and Mrs. M. A. Huntsman made a business trip to Cedar City Friday. Mr. and Mrs. John Staheli, Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Staheli of St. George spent Saturday and Sunday visiting with relatives in Enterprise. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miles and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Pectol have returned to their homes in St. George after having spent the winter here. Saturday, Orvilla Bauer fell and broke her arm. A shower was ?:ven Thursday Thurs-day in honor of Helen Day. Mts. Arthur Huntsman and daughter Nina have returned from St. George. Mrs. Huntsman Hunts-man has been receiving medical treatment. The school has closed for this year and several good programs have been given.' Tuesday morning morn-ing an honor program was given at which all outstanding students stud-ents were presented with awards. Each teacher was alloted fifteen minutes of the time and an interesting in-teresting program was the result. Wednesday the seniors gave t nice program. It consisted of a chorus by the class, prayer by Orwin Terry .class will, by Stanton Stan-ton Jones, Prognostication by Eula Hunt and two short one act piays. Thursday night the graduating exercises were held. Dr. D. A. McGregor gave an address to 'the (graduates, the valedictory address ad-dress wag given by 6illy Huntsman Hunts-man and a quartet by Alma Terry, Maeser .Terry, Athena Terry and Merlin Huntsman. A saxaphone solo by Stanley Schmutz. The following students stud-ents graduated from high school: Orvin Terry, Jessie Jones, Mar-illa Mar-illa Barlocker, Joy Holt, Ilene Lamb, Lilly Huntsman, Eula Hunt, Bula Hunt, Leona Crawford, Craw-ford, Elwin Hunt, Grant Clove) Lewis Hills, Stanton Jones, Horace Hor-ace Hall. The graduating class presented the school library with a set of history books. The P. T. A. have succeed in arranging for the library to be open for two afternoons each week. Mrs. Nellie Twitchell will be librarian and any one wishing to obtain reading material will be able to obtain books on Saturday Sat-urday afternoon. |
