Show : DISTRICT M. I. A. DAY j The District M. I. A. Day held .n St. George, Wednesday May 2, was very successful. Sister Elsie T. Bra:.i"-:ty. Sister Sis-ter Erma Ro'r.nd and iild . W. 0. Robinson of the Genera' Board were here acting as judicators. The five stakes of the disJ .l; Beaver, Parowan, Zion's Park, Moapa and St. George, were well represented and the type of work presented shows that m'ich has her accom; v:hed th:. year. Ihe evet'.ci, and places won are as follows: Drama, "The Friends of the Family" presented b y Zion's Park, won first place and "The Conflict" presented by the St. George 'Stake won second place. Moapa Stake won first place in the Junior story contest con-test with St. George Stake coming com-ing second. The Vanguard story was won by the Moapa Stake. Moapa Stake took first place in the M Men's oration and Zion's Park took second. First place was taken by Moapa Stake in' the Young Ladies' oration and second by Beaver Stake. The original dance was won by Moapa Mo-apa Stake. St. George Stake won first and second places in the Green and Gold dance. |
